Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds,
and to be generous and willing to share.
1 Timothy 6:18
You’re invited to join the generosity extravaganza! As a large church family, we can do more, give more and make a bigger difference together! When we understand what it truly means to “be rich” in love, service and generosity we can respond with action and change our community and the world!
This “Be Rich” movement is not a money grab and it’s way more than a sermon series. This is an opportunity for us, the Church, to create a reputation of irrational generosity and show our community who God truly is.
We hope you join us to love more, do more and give more than ever before! We have listed several ways you can participate below. Know that however you give, whether in love, in time or finances, your gifts have the potential to be life-changers for the people they serve. Let’s “be rich” together!
Help support a local food bank
One of our local non-profit partners needs help running store food drives at the Walmart in Orangevale and the Safeway (at Hazel and Madison) on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 and 5 between now and December 2nd. It’s easy to sign up for a 2-hour shift online using the button below and can make a big difference for a family in need this holiday season.
A simple, thoughtful gesture can have a big impact
Share the love with a neighbor, public servant, or stranger who regularly serves you!
Write a note to appreciate a veteran. Bring cookies to the local fire department. Purchase a small gift card to thank your teacher. Appreciate the barista who regularly serves you coffee. Rake your neighbor’s leaves.
Help support the Upward Basketball Program
Our church hosts Upward Basketball players, families & coaches on a weekly basis. We can always use volunteers willing to help host teams at practices during the week, and help out at games on Saturdays now through February. It’s easy to sign up for a shift online using the button below.
Join a volunteer team on Sundays!
Help create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who comes onto our campus for weekend services. We rely heavily on our volunteer teams to help all our guests feel like they can belong at Fair Oaks Church. You can join our traffic, coffee, greeting, kids/youth, tech, and/or prayer teams!
Volunteer to help with Winter Guest House
We will open our church doors to host the homeless December 30- January 6 & February 17-24.
We are looking for people who can help cook, serve, do laundry, spend the night and warmly host our guests. This is a perfect opportunity for us to serve others like Jesus did. Click the button below to sign up.
Give a gift to support the ministry at Fair Oaks Church
We give back to God because he has so generously given to us. It’s our joy to be irrationally generous, allowing God to use what we give for his good purposes. We encourage you to consider giving to what God is doing through our church so that everyone in Fair Oaks and beyond can flourish in a life with God.
