After Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, he made his way to Jerusalem for the Passover celebration. There, the religious leaders would make their attempt to arrest and kill him. Before being betrayed and handed over to them, Jesus got to share a special meal with his disciples—the Last Supper. After dinner Jesus went to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane. In the Garden, soldiers, led by Judas Iscariot, arrested Jesus. He stood trial before Jewish and Roman courts. And though neither court could find any real evidence by which to convict Jesus, they nevertheless condemned him to die on a cross.
